The Gatlinburg SkyLift is one of the most iconic attractions in the Smoky Mountains! Built in 1954, this fun chairlift ride takes passengers on a 1,800-foot journey from downtown Gatlinburg to the top of Crockett Mountain. Once you get off at the SkyDeck, you’ll have amazing views of the Smoky Mountains you won’t find anywhere else. Standing at 407 feet tall, this striking observation tower provides 360-degree views of downtown Gatlinburg and the Smokies. If you want to get a closer look at any of the area’s landmarks, you can use one of the free view finders at the top of the tower. For a unique experience, we recommend visiting the Gatlinburg Space Needle at night. In the evening, guests at the tower will have the chance to admire the glittering lights of downtown Gatlinburg. In addition to its signature observation tower, the Gatlinburg Space Needle is also home to a thrilling escape game, a fun arcade, a great pizza restaurant, and a theater that hosts magicians and other family-friendly acts.
