1. Hike the Gatlinburg Trail

The Gatlinburg Trail is one of the best Great Smoky Mountains National Park hikes that anyone can do. The route is only 3.8 miles round-trip, and the terrain is flat. Walk across the longest footbridge in the park and look at the calm Little Pigeon River. Another feature to love about this trail is that it is dog-friendly! The Gatlinburg Trail has two trailheads, one in downtown Gatlinburg and the other at Sugarlands Visitor Center.

You will need a parking pass if you park your vehicle longer than 15 minutes. Daily passes are very affordable ($5) and can be purchased online (must print out at home) or at any of the national park visitor centers.

2. Explore the Salt and Pepper Shaker Museum

3. Play Putt-Putt at Hillbilly Golf

Visitors of all ages will enjoy Hillbilly Golf. Children 3 and under get in for free, while regular admission tickets are just under $15.
